Several schools in Austin are said to be haunted.
St Edwards University
St. Edward’s University was founded by Father Edward Sorin, CSC, a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross (he also founded the University of Notre Dame). Father Sorin was committed to providing a values-based education for students of varied cultural, religious, educational and economic backgrounds. His vision remains the cornerstone of the university’s mission.
It seems that St. Edwards has a few students that just never wanted to leave. There are quite a few ghostly students and possible staff that are still around.

Premont Hall (all male dorm)
The spirit of a former RA is said to haunt this dorm. The story goes that during Spring Break he came back early and while taking a shower slipped and fell dying instantly. His body wasn’t found until a week later. It is said that he slams doors and windows and turns all the sowers on at once.
St. Edwards Doyle Hall
This all female dorm is said to be haunted by nun ghost. This nin ghost seems to be nice and likes to take showers. Sometimes the showers are said to turn on by themselves and you’ll hear someone taking a shower but when you step out, the rest of the showers are dry as if no one was there at all.

St. Edwards- Mary Moody Northern Theatre
There have been reports of a shadow of a young man who committed suicide. The young man hung himself by the sandbag ropes. It is said that if you listen closely, not only can you see the shadow of the body swinging across the stage (even when the ropes are missing) but you can also hear the creaking of the rope.
Bedicheck Middle School-
The story of this ghost is said to be that of a student named “Billy”.
“Billy” was playing the Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera. He was on the new catwalk in the auditorium when the rope slipped and he fell and hung himself.
“Billy” is said to push students off the catwalk, and also to help them remember their lines.
Crockett High School-
The story of Crockett High School is that of a little girl roaming the basement of the school in search of her family.
By the big gym, teachers working late at night have said to hear a little girl crying walking up and down the hall.
